Follow Me

Even though I’m an old dog, I can still learn new tricks. One of my new tricks is finally getting on the Twitter bandwagon. I’ve often wondered about the utility of this platform.  I mean, who cares that I just ate a cheese sandwich. But after using it for awhile, I’m beginning to see some value if you consider Twitter as a micro-blogging platform. Sure, it will be handy at large conferences to let people know where I might be found. But I’m experimenting using it now to share knowledge and information about PowerShell, scripting, automation..you know, the IT Pro stuff we’re all interested in. It may be a useful link or maybe just to let you know about a new blog post, online article I’ve just published or anything else. Something I think is useful, but doesn’t merit a full blog entry.

So, if you’d like to join the experiment, you can follow me on Twitter as @JeffHicks.  If you are new to Twitter, you’ll want to check out the different Twitter clients you can download.  Personally, I use the TwitterFox extension in Firefox and PocketTweets on my iPod Touch.  When I get a chance to polish it, I”ll eventually post a PowerShell Twitter function.

I’m finally heading down the Web 2.0 path. Care to follow?
