SAPIEN Update service bulletin

Tuesday, May 12th, 2015 by Alex Riedel
Recently we introduced a new SAPIEN software update tool, which makes it easier to directly download and install SAPIEN software updates. The tool also updates itself when there is a newer version of the update tool. Unfortunately on some machines that may have caused that process to get stuck, because the file may now be owned be an elevated admin and can no longer be overwritten without elevation. So if you have not seen any new updates to our software recently, you may have to launch the update tool manually with elevation. You only have to do this once, do…   More »

PrimalSQL 2015: What’s New?

Monday, May 4th, 2015 by David Corrales
The release of PrimalSQL 2015 (v4.1.41) introduces some changes and new database providers.   Updated Database Browser The Database Browser was overhauled so that it will load the database piecemeal instead all at once. As a result, the schema will always be displayed in the database browser tree. When you expand a schema node for the first time, it will build the metadata for the specific schema only, thus reducing the demand on the server.     New Database Providers Support for following database providers was added: PostgreSQL Sybase Oracle Native Provider   When creating a new connection, visual cues…   More »

Oba Oba! SAPIEN Sponsors SQLSaturday in Rio de Janeiro!

Wednesday, September 18th, 2013 by Robert Morey
We are always pleased to sponsor user groups even when, unfortunately, the bosses don't let us attend in person.  We really, really wanted to go to Rio de Janeiro but, alas, not this year.  Still, we donated software, ebooks, training videos, t-shirts, and other SAPIEN items for SQLSaturday 2013 which was held in Rio de Janeiro on August 31.  With over 300 attendees, it was quite an event with lots of sessions on SQL, of course, but also PowerShell.  Here is a picture of one of the sessions:     You can see all their pictures on Facebook.  If you…   More »

Monday, January 28th, 2013 by Robert Morey
To register your license key, that is. Did you purchase a license for our software, perhaps years and years ago, and never register it in your MySAPIEN account? You should, and there are some very valid and important reasons for doing so. If you don’t register your license, we probably do not know how to reach you. On occasion, we make application-specific announcements and offer deals on upgrades that only go to those whose products are registered. Also, when you log into your MySAPIEN account, you can see what the most recent version of the application is as well…   More »
