If you’ve been a regular reader of the Windows Tip Sheet column from MCPMag.com, you probably noticed a change recently. This column is changing subject matter to PowerShell. It is now called Prof. PowerShell. The aim of the new column is to introduce you to PowerShell and demonstrate basic concepts, at least to start with. The first set of columns was written as basic building blocks, although you can read them in any order. The column is short but hopefully educational. I plan on keeping topics on the beginner side for awhile, but I’ll try to throw in a more advanced topic from time to time to keep everyone on their toes.
PowerShell is THE management paradigm for Microsoft servers and platforms going forward. You’ll have to learn it eventually, so why wait?
You can find Prof. PowerShell at http://mcpmag.com/columns/columnist.asp?columnistsid=81. MCPMag.com also has an RSS feed that includes the column.
And don’t worry, the past Windows Tip Sheet columns will remain available online. I hope you’ll let me know what you think about the new column and what PowerShell topics you’d like to see covered. Class is permanently in session.
