Windows PowerShell Snippets now Available

As we gear up to the release of Windows PowerShell v1.0, we’re pleased to announce the release of a new Snippets pack for SAPIEN PrimalScript. This pack is designed to make Windows PowerShell scripting easier and faster by providing 30+ Snippets that handle tough or common tasks from Windows PowerShell scripting. For example, one group of Snippets makes database scripting within PowerShell easier, while another lets you make alternate-credential connections to WMI more easily. Still others let you ping remote computers, write to a log file, read names from a file, display a Trace window for debugging, and much more.

Snippets add right into PrimalScript (v3.x and later) and are easily accessible: While in a script, just type the Snippet name and press Ctrl+J. Or, drag the Snippet into your code from the Snippets Browser. Working with Snippets makes scripting more like “assembling” than actually “writing code,” since you’re just piecing together Snippets that you (or someone else) has already written.
