Beautiful, Beautiful Tabs

Did you happen to receive the May SAPIEN eNewsletter today? If so, you caught a glimpse – just a spare glimpse, mind you – of the new user interface coming in the next version of PrimalScript (which is also discussed at www.primalscript.com/psnextpreview.asp). The photo included in the newsletter shows colored, Microsoft One-Note like tabs against a dark gray background. Nice. In the newsletter, we also learned that the next version of PrimalScript (“PSnext” for lack of a better term) will have a new feature called “File Groups.” Essentially, you just open all the files you tend to work on at the same time, and select “Save Open Files as Group” from the File menu. It saves a “.group” file, which can be double-clicked to open up all the original files – kinda like a tab group in Internet Explorer.

I’m going to see if I can wrest some more screen shots from the dev team to put on the preview site (www.primalscript.com/psnextpreview.asp), but until then stay tuned to this blog. Or subscribe to the newsletter – this was the first I had heard about this new feature, even! Sneaky developers.
