SAPIEN code editors usually default to “Courier New” when you install them first. The reason for that is simple: It’s installed on virtually every Windows system since Windows 98.
Once in a while we get a wave of emails asking us to change that default to whatever the author prefers. Here is a brief, albeit incomplete, look at what has been suggested over time. Please note that some of these fonts are only available with a specific license or must be purchased separately. All images are 450 x 170 with a 10 point font setting.

Which font do you prefer? Sound off in the comments and let us know.
I prefer to code in Comic Sans.
Consolas
I have taken a liking to Consolas.
I used Bitstream Vera Sans Mono for years, but Consolas has been my font of choice since I discovered it as it’s just that bit cleaner and easier to read.
I use Lucida Sans Typewriter
Consolas!
