Australia Tech-Ed Wrap-up

Last week I spent an amazing time in Sydney, Australia attending the Tech-Ed conference there. While smaller than the North American show held recently in Orlando, this show was nonetheless vibrant and exciting.

Sydney is an awesome cosmopolitan city. You can find just about whatever form of entertainment you are looking for there; there is a broad selection of dining, drinking etc. The people are warm hearted and we had several beautiful spring days while there. We were lucky that these days occurred while we had the time before the conference to enjoy them.

The conference hours were fairly intense, but that just gave us more face time with the attendees. PrimalScript was quite a hit at the show, especially after it was demoed at the PowerShell sessions. Our booth was swamped with attendees who wanted to learn more about PrimalScript’s support for PowerShell, and just as important, our support for the other scripting technologies that they currently used.

There was also a great deal of interest in our books and training. Several companies opened discussions with us about using our PowerShell courseware as part of their regular training offerings. And we made great contacts with potential book publishing partners and potential authors as well.

All in all, Australia’s Tech-Ed was well worth the trip as we expand our global presence in the scripting community.
