So, here’s the deal: We’re getting a LOT of demand for our Windows PowerShell training. Which is, of course, good – demand pays the mortgage bill! But Jeffery Hicks and are are getting a lot of training requests, and our families miss us. Even though we’re working hard to find additional training partners to help pick up the slack, we’re still thinking that it’d be a good idea to have a subcontractor or two that we could send off to do some quality PowerShell training using our courseware.
So here’s the offer: If you’re a technical trainer, send me an audio file – or heck, go nuts and send a video file – of your best 5-10 minutes of explaining something essential in PowerShell. Wow me, and I’ll hold a spot for you in our October class so you can “prep” on our Fundamentals and Intermediate courses. That way, some of our customers can benefit from your trainer awesomeness as we send you on training gigs as a subcontractor. Really wow me and we’ll talk about covering your hotel room for class. Or maybe your airfare. Or maybe we’ll have a drink at a bar after class one night – depends on the “wow” factor. If you want to do a video, grab a trial of Camtasia… a great way to record what you’re doing in PowerShell along with voiceover.
What’s that? You’re not a technical trainer but you want to give it a shot? Well, send your audition. If I can’t tell you’re not a pro trainer… then maybe you’ve got the Right Stuff! You don’t tell, and I won’t tell.
So here’s your chance! Free PowerShell training and the chance to start down the road to Trainer Stardom! Heck, really wow me and we’ll talk about a session slot at the upcoming Windows PowerShell 2-Day Event prior to Windows Connections! So pull out all the stops, send a ZIPped audio or video file to don (at) scriptinganswers (dot) com, and we’ll see what happens!
(PS – this is only open to folks in the continental US, cuz that’s where we have most of our training demand right now. Nothing personal against you foreign aliens… just biz. Maybe will do a European edition next – we’ll see how this works out, eh?)
(PPS – anything you send me may be posted on the Internet, so keep that in mind!)
(PPPS – I’ll acknowledge anything you send; if you don’t hear back within a day, send me an e-mail without an attachment to see what the heck happened)
(PPPPS – nope, that’s it)
