Switching from VBScript to PowerShell Just Got Easier

We’re pleased to announce the release of a new Snippets pack for SAPIEN PrimalScript: VBScript to PowerShell Conversion Snippets. No, they won’t convert your scripts for you – they help convert your brain! Just install the Snippets using the simple directions provided. Then, open PrimalScript and start a new Windows PowerShell script (PS1 file). Finally, type any VBScript function or statement name (on a blank line) and press Ctrl+J. Poof! You’ll see how to perform that same task in PowerShell, with a short code snippet that you can edit to suit your needs. You can also drag the Snippets in from PrimalScript’s Snippets Browser. Installing the new Snippets is easy, and they’re even usable without PrimalScript – just open them in Notepad to see how a specific VBScript feature works in PowerShell. There are 119 Snippets in all, and they’re available for immediate download at http://www.scriptingoutpost.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=SFT-SNIPVBPS.
