For the past few years, SAPIEN has done some kind of “New Year’s Blowout” special product promotion. I think one year we sold PrimalScript Standard for 99 bucks or something, for example, which is almost half off (and it was eligible for the cross-edition upgrade price to Pro, to boot). Usually, the sale runs all day on January 1st only.
I’ve had a couple of loyal readers ask what we’re doing this year, if anything.
Well, I dunno “what”, but I do know that there WILL be a New Year’s Nutso Special Crazy-Man Sale of some kind… but I’ve no idea what the sales and marketing elves are putting together. So, for those who’ve asked, keep your eyes nailed to this blog on the 31st, because there will doubtless be an announcement, and if I dig up any details in the meantime, I’ll be sure to share them. I don’t think the sales and marketing elves know how to delete blog posts, yet, so I should be okay .
I also know that there are some ***really cool*** promotions coming in the first quarter, probably in the January and/or February timeframe. You will ***definitely*** want to keep an eye out for those, which will also be announced through this very blog. They’re shaping up to be incredibly exciting.
UPDATE: Looks like the threat of revelation spurred the elves to action. www.ScriptingOutpost.com spills the beans: All day December 31st, you’ll be able to save over $100 (30%!) on PrimalScript 4.1 Professional, Windows PowerShell: TFM, and the new Windows PowerShell Snippets Pack. It’s a great way to launch that book (which should be hitting shelves right around then), and a pretty cool end-of-year offer!
