Scripting guru Jeffery Hicks, of JDH IT Solutions, has joined SAPIEN Technologies as a full-time employee with the title, “Scripting Guru.” Jeffery, who has co-authored two books (Advanced VBScript for Windows Administrators and Windows PowerShell: TFM) with SAPIEN’s Don Jones, will work closely with Don to produce new training materials, new scripting-related books, and more under the SAPIEN family of brands. Jeffery will also become a regular moderator on ScriptingAnswers.com (where he has been a contributor almost since the site’s inception), providing assistance to the site’s users and creating new scripting-related content for the site’s growing community. Jeffery is also providing technical editing expertise for ADSI Scripting: TFM, and has already created two scripting training videos under the ScriptingAnswers.com Electives brand: Managing Exchange Server with VBScript, and VBScript Enterprise Best Practices.Jeffery’s work will focus primarily on VBScript and Windows PowerShell content and solutions. SAPIEN Technologies strongly believes that these two technologies will maintain complementary roles in the enterprise for years to come; while Microsoft and SAPIEN are both providing considerable resources for Windows PowerShell users, only SAPIEN is providing similar support for existing and new VBScript users by providing training materials, VBScript extensions, and other tools and resources to make VBScript an even more effective tool. As part of SAPIEN’s “No Scripter Left Behind” philosophy, the company will continue to innovate in the VBScript arena, picking up where Microsoft leaves off and ensuring that administrators’ VBScript investments pay dividends well into the future.SAPIEN is pleased to welcome Jeffery to the family!
