Set-NfsNetgroupStore

Set-NfsNetgroupStore

msft_nfsnetgroupstore.cmdletdefinition.cdxml

Synopsis

Modifies netgroup configuration settings.

Syntax

Set-NfsNetgroupStore [-AsJob] [-CimSession] [-InputObject] [-LDAPNamingContext] [-LdapServer] [-NetgroupStoreType] [-NisDomain] [-NisServer] [-PassThru] [-ThrottleLimit] [-Confirm] [-WhatIf] [<CommonParameters>]

Detailed Description

The Set-NfsNetgroupStore cmdlet modifies configuration settings that a Network File System (NFS) Server uses to obtain netgroups from a specified netgroup store.

An NFS server can get netgroups from Network Information Service (NIS) or RFC-2307-compliant Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)–based stores, such as Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) or Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS).

Parameters

-AsJob <SwitchParameter>

Runs the cmdlet as a background job. Use this parameter to run commands that take a long time to complete. The cmdlet immediately returns an object that represents the job and then displays the command prompt. You can continue to work in the session while the job completes. To manage the job, use the *-Job cmdlets. To get the job results, use the Receive-Job cmdlet. For more information about Windows PowerShell® background jobs, see about_Jobs.

-LDAPNamingContext <String>

Specifies an LDAP naming context that the NFS server uses when it performs LDAP queries to obtain netgroup information.

The NFS server uses this parameter only if the NetgroupSourceType parameter is set to LDAP. If NetgroupSourceType is set to NIS or None, the NFS server ignores the value set for this parameter.
