Use Arguments management

Post by FrankAndrew »

Product: PrimalScript (64 Bit)
Build: v8.1.174
OS: Windows 10 Enterprise (64 Bit)
Build: v10.0.19044

I have been using the "Use Arguments" option a lot lately and I am having a few problems with it.

My main problem is that I currently have 20 entires that are listed.
These are automatically store at an unknow point in time.
I have some pretty old entries in there.
What is also unknown to me is what all I can do to "manage" these entries, so I have a few questions:

1. Where are these values stored?
2. Can I change the maximum number that are presented?
3. Why can't I delete/overwrite any of these through the presented list?
4. What is the sort order of these entries, if any?
:-)

They are stored here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAPIEN Technologies, Inc.\PrimalScript 2023\Parameters
It stores the last 20 used, the order should be last used on top, oldest on bottom.
Basically your plain old edit box using a combobox to give it some memory.

Thanks for the info.
I was able to update some of the really OLD entries with new information.
I NEVER experienced that after that list was full that when I would modify something or put something completely new in there that it EVER overwrote an old entry.

Hi Alex,
The old entires that are visible in PSR are NOT updatable.
When I try to edit one of the ones that are present, when it is FULL, acts very strange and is not helpful.
Are you, or someone else, going to look into this more?

Great, let me know when you have time to look at it.
As you know if you need anything from me, just let me know.
Until then I will wait patiently. :-)

The arguments now properly 'age' and the oldest ones drop out while the last used ones float to the top of the list.
The fix is included in the next service build.
