Hey All,
I've built an app that installs software after a user picks one or more apps from a checkedlistbox. Is it possible to show a progress bar while the installation itself is occurring?
Thanks,
Scott

Re: Progress Bar for Installations
Using a progress bar with an MSI is extremely difficult to generalize. I recommend using a job and monitoring the job for completion.
If you use the JobTracker custom control set, then you will have a progress/busy indicator. Actual progress cannot be used externally to an installer. If you build your own MSI then you can give it various types of progress indicators.
