Cannot get script packager to install in C:\Program Files

Post by jcranecw »

To help you better we need some information from you.

*** Please fill in the fields below. If you leave fields empty or specify 'latest' rather than the actual version your answer will be delayed as we will be forced to ask you for this information. ***

Product, version and build: v5.8.202
Operating system: Windows 10 Enterprise (64 Bit) v10.0.19044.0
PowerShell version(s): 5.1.19041.1682

I've been playing with the script packager for a while now and I cannot get the MSI file to install package in the C:\Program Files directory
It always puts it in the C:\Program Files (x86) directory.

I've even tried Hardcoding the path and I will still put it in the x86 directory.

This is because you are building 32 bit MSI.
You need to check 64 bit installer checkbox under MSI Options

I wish it were that simple. I already played with that setting.

From your screenshots I am not certain if you posted the wrong image or if you are looking in the wrong place.
This is the setting Olga mentioned.

That was it. I was looking at the script engine settings and got confused.

Thank you very much!
