Post by lWbIkXc1709936712 »

To help you better we need some information from you.

*** Please fill in the fields below. If you leave fields empty or specify 'latest' rather than the actual version your answer will be delayed as we will be forced to ask you for this information. ***

Product, version and build:
PowerShell Help Version 2.2.51
32 or 64 bit version of product:
64-bit
Operating system:
32 or 64 bit OS: Windows 10 22H2 - 64-bit

*** Please add details and screenshots as needed below. ***
The software does not show any custom modules, like PnP.PowerShell or modules I have created. I have tried to import the PowerShell help file xml files and about with no luck.

It doesn't automatically import, you have to tell it what you want.
Did you get any error messages? Could you upload a helpfile that failed to import?

No error messages when selecting a folder with "About files..." and no errors when selecting an "PowerShell help files...". Nothing shows nor does anything get put into any of the content groups.

I would have assumed this application would be picking up Register Modules automatically, but it is not - can this please be added.

I can't reproduce issue in our testing environment.

If you can, please zip and load up the module and help file(s), so that we can attempt to recreate the issue:

My custom modules and Help shows fine after importing

In order to help you, we need to see that help file. We do not need the entire module. As you say you experience the same with about files, it would be beneficial to have one of those too.
If you do not want to or cannot post this here, please upload it privately here:

I upload a test module. The module is located in program file's\windowspowershell\modules.

I would like information about dynamic parameters as well.

BTW - this still does not explain why PnP.PowerShell is not showing up. That could be your test case.

A new build of the free PowerShell help tool was released. The import process saved the files to an old location no longer used.
