I built a small powershell gui app using powershell studio. However, every so often Windows Defender identifies it as malware: "Program:Win32/Wacapew.C!ml". Yet a deep scan of my system does not find the malware in question. How can I verify that this is a false positive? And is there a way to build my project so that Window Defender will leave it alone?

Re: trojan false positive?
False positives happen all the time, but we do not know nor can we control what happens on your computer.
The only way to be sure is to send the file identified as containing malware to the vendor of the scanner, in this case Mircosoft.
You can do that here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/filesubmission
