Is there additional logging I could turn on to capture the error?

Hmm. I just tried with every VBScript I have, but to no avail. Would you be able to upload one of yours?

I am not doubting you. I suspect there is a construct in your script that causes the parser to loop forever, the easiest way to verify that would be to have that very script you just had active.

OK, I will just have one open at a time and see if I can narrow it down.

It would hang on different scripts. I needed to be productive, so I had to uninstall 2019 and Install 2018 and so far no hang has taken place.

It could be a common construct for you, we cannot re-produce it. But if you cannot send any script, I understand.

One last question. What exact version of the Visual Studio 2017 runtime do you have installed?
