Issues after 5.5.155 update

Post by owinsloe »

Just read a recent report of someone who was having problems saving files after upgrading to 5.5.155. I have just upgraded also and have the same problem but now know how to reproduce and work-around.

Run up PSS
open a ps1 file
try and save but save is greyed out (disabled)
open a second ps1 file
save & "save as" are now available for both files.

If you close the second ps1 file that was opened, save & save as are still available on the single instance.

Could you provide more details
- what OS are you using
- from what version of PowerShell Studio did you update to 5.5.155
- When you start PSS after upgrade did you have any files open

An unexpected change in the UI behavior is causing this issue and it will be resolved in the next service release.

In the meantime, you can get around this issue by doing any of the following:

1. Enable the "Show start page on startup" option in Options->General.
2. Or disable the "Enable deferred file loading" option in Options->General.
3. Or open an additional file to enable the buttons again.
