Updater dies!

Post by monoeagle »

Hi@All,

if I try to update to the latest version, the updater dies every time.

OS: Win7
PSS: 5.2.127 (try to update to 5.2.128)

I have create a dump file from the taskmanager and 2 screenshots.

Where can I Upload the zip?
How do I get the update?

regards

First, you can upload your zip file to our support upload page available here: https://www.sapien.com/support/upload We'll take a look as soon as we can and try to figure out what caused this.

As for the update, you can go to your account page (https://www.sapien.com/account/products/) and download the latest version available to you manually. After you download the installer you just have to run it and it'll update PowerShell Studio for you. This is a screenshot from my account page where it shows the download link for the latest version:

Thanks a lot.
After pressing the upload button the site refreshed with an empty form and no information about success.

Has the zip file "updater Dump + Screenshots.zip" arrived? The Tilte of the Upload was "Updater dies!" =).

Nope, nothing arrived here. Quick test shows it to be working fine for me. I use Chrome. What browser did you use?
Maybe you should eliminate the '+' from the file name. Web pages can be funny with this kind of characters in names :D

Uploaded with latest FF Release.

Removed "+" and the network traffic was good. =) But no success message or anything else.

Should be arrived now.

Unfortunately, I still don't see it in the support uploads.

I'm not sure why it won't properly upload the file but another option is to simply email it to us at support@sapien.com.

I was successfully able to upload a zip file with the latest version of FireFox. Would you mind replacing the spaces in your filename with hyphens and see if it will upload with no spaces in the filename?

Filename was: updater_Dump_Screenshots.zip

The 3rd try was send via Safari. Same like the 2nd try. No information about success, just an empty form, but the network traffic was ok.

If it doesn't work I'll send it in splitted form via mail.

Unfortunately, I'm still unable to see the file on our end. We're looking into why this may be the case but in the meantime could you please send the zip via email?
