RSEE64 2015.exe: Please check for prerequisites

Post by Jehoschua »

Product, version and build: SPS15Setup_4.2.99_120715_x64.exe
32 or 64 bit version of product: 64
Operating system: Windows 2012 R2
32 or 64 bit OS: 64

Hello

if we try to install RSEE64 2015.exe, we get the error:
PrimalHost.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147024770

This is probably a known problem: some Visual Studio 2012? 2015? runtimes must be installed.

It would be great if you could add a test to check if the prerequisites are installed, so that potential users don't have to google for such strange errors.

Kind regards,
Tom

... especially because the 32bit prerequisites are required (und a 64bit OS).

Another solution would be, if you add the right prerequisites to your Redistributables folder.

Kind regards,
Tom

We did that in the past. Users complained that the download was unnecessarily large, burdened with runtimes that are already present.
