PowerShell Studio - Multi Monitor Support

Post by pringtef »

I know that the main window can be extended over two monitors, but it would be great if there was more multi-monitor functionality for each of the components. Would also be great to be able to actually save this configuration as a layout for future use.

Scenarios :-

Pinning items like Objector Browser, Functions, and others to another monitor. At present, I'm able to set them as floating, and drag them over to the second screen, but can't keep them fixed there. And it can be the case that sometimes carrying an action out on the first screen will automatically move the item away from the second window, and dock it again.

Being able to have form views and code views for the same file open at the same time.

Being able to have more than one form, or forms code open at the same time over the monitors)

thanks,

Tim

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it.

In regards to the panels, if you have Auto-Layouts enabled it will switch the panels' layout depending if you are editing a script, debugging or working in the designer.

You can create your own layout using the status bar:
Save Layout.png
Save Layout.png (27.8 KiB) Viewed 3496 times
You can assign the new layouts in the Options so that they are used by the auto-layout feature:
Auto Layout options.png
Auto Layout options.png (26.7 KiB) Viewed 3496 times
Alternatively you can disable the auto-layout all together.
