Bug

Post by PGomersall »

I install PSS 2012. It creates a Start Menu folder at:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\SAPIEN Technologies, Inc\
If I move this elsewhere say under a programming sub folder and then right-click a ps1 file to open it, PSS2012 launches it's msi package and wants to replace the folder.
This is a badly built installer package. I want the folder where I want it not where you guys think I want it.
How can I fix this?

We are following the rules for Windows certification with our installers. If you don't like that, please address your complaint to Microsoft. We cannot change these rules.

We are not able to reproduce your claim. The file association is not affected by the install location in our tests.
