I'm sending you both a new packager executable. Please backup and replace the current executable with the new one and report any error messages here. Thank you, David

Script2Exe.exe crash when signing exe

Would you mind installing a PrimalScript 2012 trial and see if you get the same effect there?

Script2Exe.exe crash when signing exe

Post by franky13 »

Hi Alex,I still have the full version of PrimalScript 2009 installed an I can sign any script there without problems (I can even export my PowerShell Studio Form as a ps1-script in PowerShell Studio, open the ps1 in PrimalScript 2009 and create a signed Executable there - but that's a very ugly workaround). If I try to sign a normal ps1-Script in PowerShell Studio, I get the following in the output field "Es wurde kein Anbieter für den Speicher oder das Objekt angegeben". Google doesn't give very much when searching for this whole phrase, but in the first hit, it reveals an error code of 0x80092006. If I google this errorcode, there are lots of hits concerning a failed signtool execution. Maybe this can give you any hints regarding the problem? Thanks in advanceFrank

Unfortunately you can't use PrimalScript 2009 as a comparison since it uses a different / older engine to sign and packager. Using PrimalScript 2012 will help us isolate the cause of the problem. David

Script2Exe.exe crash when signing exe

Post by franky13 »

OK, I installed an eval-version of PrimalScript 2012 on a test-machine. I can observe two different behaviours now:1. When I specify the path to my pfx-file and the certificates password and then try to sign a .ps1-script I just receive a messagebox "The specified file could not be signed"...2. If I install the certificate in my personal certificate store and leave the certificate path blank, then I can successfully sign a test-script.Please advise how we could narrow this down. Thanks Frank

In this case we want you to test the packager signing which is different then the normal script signing.David
