more granular debug

I'd like the debug-engine to take more and smaller steps when debugging and stepping into code.

Another good IDE for PS is able to follow each expression on a row/pipeling and highlights each expression.

That would be neat in PSS

Unfortunately the powershell engine does not support stepping through instructions rather than lines. I am assuming that is what you mean with "smaller steps"

Powergui script editor is able to do this, maybe they did a workaround then..

This is what I meant if I was too vague. The foreground IDE follows the execution through the pipeline visually, currently looping through the collection of procs
