Minor Color coding specification

Post by fredrikwallander »

Product, version and build: 2017, 5.4.138.0
(*** Please do not write "latest" as a version, specify a version number ***)
32 or 64 bit version of product: 64bit
Operating system: Win 10, 1511
32 or 64 bit OS: 64bit
PowerShell Version: Not relevant.

Id like to request a bit more specific color syntax coding as demonstrated in the screenshots compared between "PowerShell ISE" and Powershell Studio 2017.
Ive tried to make them as close as possible but some things are just not available in Powershell studio as seen below.

ISE Syntax highlighting:
ISE.PNG
ISE.PNG (13.88 KiB) Viewed 966 times
PowerShell Studio 2017 syntax highlighting:
Powershell.Studio.2017.PNG
Powershell.Studio.2017.PNG (8.12 KiB) Viewed 966 times
As you can see ISE apparently has a more detailed syntax highlighting system.
The only reason i still use ISE for many of my projects is because the color coding is more specific there.
everything else i do in powershell studio. It may be a silly thing to request but once you are used to a certain look you kinda want it
that way. This is just my preference but it would probably be a good addition to an otherwise GREAT product.

Can this be done?

Best regards, and keep up the good work!

Thank you for your feedback! I find that the white is easier to read than the dark grey, but to each his own :)

FYI, I moved this to the wish list forum and added the request to our internal wish list.
