Interface elements too large on High Resolution/DPI screen

Post by ivodijkgraaf »

Product, version and build: PowerShell Studio 2016 5.2.117
32 or 64 bit version of product: 64-bit
Operating system: Windows 10
32 or 64 bit OS: 64-bit

I am using a high resolution/DPI laptop screen (2880 x 1800) on Windows 10.
The interface elements of PowerShell Studio 2016 show very large and some labels in the toolbar are cut off.

It seems that PowerShell Studio does not support any hight resolution/DPI displays.

Is there a way to show the interface elements smaller (the same size as any other application I use)?

PowerShell Studio is hardly useable when the interface elements are so large.

I see that Document Explorer 2016 does show up nicely en correct on high resolution displays. With Document Explorer 2016 the interface elements are of the correct size and scale OK.

Regards,

Ivo

Have you tried changing the text size in Control Panel->Display?

In the meantime, we will try to reproduce this on our end.

Changing the text size in Control Panel changes it for all programs.
The only program that it wrong is PowerShell Studio.

Document Explorer 2016 displays the element correct.

Still no solution for the crippled display of the interface elements of PowerShell Studio 2016 on High Res display?

This image clarifies the problem:

There is no simple solution. We use third party tools for the UI elements and will need to forward this to the vendor. We will update you as soon as we have more information.

It looks like the problem is solved by itself.
Maybe it was a bug in the Windows 10 build I had.
Today I have installed a new Windows 10 build, and everything looks fine now.

Thanks for your support.
The case can be closed now.
