Hello
When I edit a pre-existing snippet such as the Function snipped (e.g. right click in Snippet explorer when chose edit), I make my changes then save and it asks me if I want to overwrite the current file and I say yes. However when I use the snippet the changes are not there, also when I go back and edit it again the changes are also not there.
I have tried exiting and restarting PowerShell Studio and doing the same again but running the program with Administrator privileges, however this does not work either
Please assist as there are several snippets I need to edit to work the way I work
Thanks
Ernest

Re: Editing Function Snippets not retaining saved changes
Hello Ernest,
The preset snippets are purposely set to ReadOnly because they are overwritten when you update the application.
If you want to override an existing snippet, simply drag the snippet from the Preset folder to the User folder and it will automatically create a copy. Then proceed to edit the new snippet.
The User snippet should take priority over the Preset snippet and will persist after an update.

Re: Editing Function Snippets not retaining saved changes
Thanks again David,
I will give it a go,
One separate note I am now taking to my boss about buying a license/es, it is an inexpensive product and as I explained to him just using it to write one decent sized script will pay for itself in productivity saving
fingers crossed
