For most ordinary people experimenting with PowerShell and Windows Forms, a $389 purchase for the full PowerShell Studio is simply never going to happen.
Offering free tools with a useful subset of features like that is a good way to build and maintain a positive relationship with your customers and may act as stepping stone for potential Enterprise purchasers.
Not only have you stopped developing it, you've withdrawn it completely. I don't know about other people but that just leaves me with a bad taste in the mouth...
