Repository folders in random order

I'm using Version Control 2015 (v1.0.109, 64 bit) in Windows 7 Enterprise (English, 64-bit).

When I create a new repository, the folders show up in random order. I would like have them in alphabetical order, but can't find a way to sort. The folders in the picture were created in this order:

FirstProgram
SecondProgram
ThirdProgram
FourthProgram
FifthProgram
SixthProgram
SeventhProgram
TenthProgram
NinthProgram
EightProgram

I don't find any logic to the order. How to sort the folders alphabetically?

Thanks,
Davenull

This is an automated post. A real person will respond soon.

Thank you for posting, davenull.

Did you remember to include the following?
  • 1. Product, version and build (e.g. Product: VersionRecall 2014, Version & Build: 1.0.102. Version and build information can be found in the product's About box accessed by clicking the blue icon with the 'i' in the upper right hand corner of the ribbon.)
    2. Specify if you are running a 32 or 64 bit version
    3. Specify your operating system and if it is 32 or 64 bit.
    4. Attach a screenshot if your issue can be seen on the screen
    5. Attach a zip file if you have multiple files (crash reports, log entries, etc.) related to your issue.
If not, please take a moment to edit your original post or reply to this one.

They are sorted alphabetically.

Oops, they indeed are sorted alphabetically. My bad.

The problem still remains. The folders end up in random order if I use network drive as source. On the left side of the picture I have a repository created from network source. On the right side the source is a local hard disk.

Network source -> folders in random order
Local source -> folders in alphabetical order

Maybe this is just our disk system and not a common phenomena.

Thanks,
Davenull

I will check on it.

No need to investigate further. The culprit is Fujitsu NetApp Storage System. I created a repository from a standalone server share and the folders ended up in alphabetical order.

NetApp caches the contents and strange things happen every now and then.
