can't find a particular PC

Post by aaronb » Fri Jun 15, 2007 4:07 am

Now, I have the scripts to ping a particular PC. I have the scripts to find out the currently logged in user. I even have the scripts to pull the serial number from the PC. The only problem is that I need to combine all of these and put it into...let's say an excel sheet as a macro.

Essentially, I need to take a file and process all the computer names in that file and find the local user and serial number if the PC responds to a ping.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Try looking through the script vault. YOu will find many examples using an Excel sheet for logging. You will also find examples showing how to combine scripts and information.
