Hi all,
I'm new to windows powershell. I don't how to rename the row name in the csv that is from the powershell command export-csv. The rows I'd like to rename are Surname, givenName, sAMAccountName, EmailAddress, Department, Pager. Thanks.

I'm assuming you are exporting a object that you pulled from AD. You would need to either create a new PSObject or reformat the existing one using select-object with custom labels.

The items you are mentioning are column or field names and can be easily renamed using the "Header" parameter of import CSV.
If columns are "Surname, givenName, sAMAccountName, EmailAddress, Department, Pager" and you want to rename them to "col1,col2,col3,..." her is how:
Import-Csv file.csvt -Header COL1, COL2, COL3, COL4, COL5, COL6 |
Export-Csv newfile.csv
Of course you can choose any names you want.
If you are trying to change the value of the contents of a column then we would use a filter.
