WMF5.1 install fails

Post by draeger_lutz »

Hello,
hoping to be right here, i am asking for help: A Windows 7-64bit system with actual updates.
I already installed .NET4.7 and WMF 5.1. In Powershell ise -> $host:
Name : Windows PowerShell ISE Host
Version : 5.0.10514.6
InstanceId : 5835425f-6907-41c5-9956-0fdf0aaed5af
UI : System.Management.Automation.Internal.Host.InternalHostUserInterface
CurrentCulture : de-DE
CurrentUICulture : de-DE
PrivateData : Microsoft.PowerShell.Host.ISE.ISEOptions
DebuggerEnabled : True
IsRunspacePushed : False
Runspace : System.Management.Automation.Runspaces.LocalRunspace

There ist Version 5.0, but NOT Version 5.1 as expected. What is wrong ?

You still have to install the correct version of WMF 5.1. Also you may have installed a preview version of ISE. You also need to be sure to install the correct MUI version

Remove and re-add ISE.

Unfortunately this is not a break/fix forum. You may need to contact MS Support to help you figure this out.
