Is there a manual/help for the options in PrimalSQL 2015?

Hi,

PrimalSQL 2015 4.1.44 x64 on Windows 7 x64.
Using "Query with SQL Text" remotely to a Microsoft SQL database.
Connection and access is ok.

I can't find any help or manual for PrimalSQL 2015.

I'm trying to find help on:
1. What does the option "Enable Remote File Status Check" do?

2. I discovered that the Log window had accidently ended up behind the Database Browser window. Is there a way of resetting the window views?

Regards
Lars

This is an automated post. A real person will respond soon.

Thank you for posting, lars.lundgren@tac.com.

Did you remember to include the following?
  • 1. Product, version and build (e.g. Product: PrimalSQL 2014, Version & Build: 4.0.36. Version and build information can be found in the product's About box accessed by clicking the blue icon with the 'i' in the upper right hand corner of the ribbon.)
    2. Specify if you are running a 32 or 64 bit version
    3. Specify your operating system and if it is 32 or 64 bit.
    4. Attach a screenshot if your issue can be seen on the screen
    5. Attach a zip file if you have multiple files (crash reports, log entries, etc.) related to your issue.
If not, please take a moment to edit your original post or reply to this one.

1. "Enable Remote File Status Check" will tell the application check if a file is modified even if it is on a remote drive.

You might want to disable this feature when you know you are going to be disconnected or the remote drive has a slow connection. As a result the application will skip any file status checks on any file located on a NAS or other remote computer.

2. You can reset the panels in Options->Panels->Reset to Default State.

If you have further questions feel free to ask them.

There is a manual for PrimalScript, check the Help tab.
But you did post in the PrimalSQL forum, so I have to ask which product you need help with :D

Hi,

Thanks for all answers and quick response.

Hehe, yes, it is a typo in the subject field.
Sorry for the confusion!
Can you please update it with correct product name?

It is in PrimalSQL 2015 where I can't find any built-in help or any manual for this product.

Lars

The manual is still under development, but we usually write articles that cover new features on our blog.
