How To: Finding objects in the developers GUI

Post by Jean-ClaudeD » Tue Mar 22, 2016 2:04 pm

Product, version and build: Powershell Studio 2014
32 or 64 bit version of product: 64 bit
Operating system: Win 2008 64-bit

I have a newbie question that is driving me crazy.

I have developed a GUI application in Powershell. Under properties on the right side, it lists all of the form elements. (windows, text, etc)

The list is not sorted in any way that I can identify. I find myself looking for a specific panel that I want to cahnge the default size of, but of the hundreds of items in this GUI, I can't find it.

Is there a way to do a "Find" within the list, like there is within the source, or to sort the list by name? This is the list on both sides when you are looking at the GUI you are designing, that contains the name of each object.

There is no search feature in 2014, but we did add the feature in the 2016 release:
