Powershell Studio 2015 Crash calling $$

Post by PsCustomObject »

Product, version and build: PowerShell Studio 2015 4.2.99
32 or 64 bit version of product: 64bit
Operating system: Windows 10
32 or 64 bit OS: 64bit OS

Hello,

I'll admit this happened out of a typo more than anything but still I thought to report it, as per subject I was working on a GUI project and in the script editor I accidentally typed $$ when I double clicked on it to select both chars PowerShell Studio crashed.

I have reproduced the issue on an empty script where I typed couple of random commands and then on a separate line $$ which caused the program to crash.

Here's the crash image I get after selecting "quit" from the .Net debug popup

I have also attaached the full crash log copied from the same popup, I hope this can be useful.

As I said this happened more out of an error on my side than anything else so I doubt it happened often yet the crash taught me the lesson to save more often :-)

Thanks L.
