Powershell Studio 2015 Incorrect Parsing of Quotation Marks

Post by pdearmen »

Windows 8.1 x64 fully patched
Sapien Powershell Studio 2015 4.2.76 x64

Assume the following code
PowerShell Code
Double-click the code block to select all.
$data = gci "\\16400fs01\users$" | %{
	$Userpath = $null
	$Userpath = $_.fullname
	if (Test-Path("$($userpath)\Desktop"))
  {
Powershell Studio then shows the rest of the code as though there is not a closed quotation mark after Desktop and it is awaiting a closing quotation mark. If I remove the " after Desktop everything is correctly colored syntax wise.

This can be seen in the two screenshots below. If the offending line is commented out the reset of the quotation marks are processed correctly and do not cause the coloring to occur. I did run a syntax check and everything came back correctly - so it appears this is just an issue with how the syntax coloring occurs. This code did not present issues with Powershell Studio 2014

Good catch. We should resolve this in the next service release.

In the meantime, if you add a space after Test-Path, it will correctly parse the line.
