    v4.1.47 - Check for Updates button not working

    When I click on the button nothing happens. The expected dialog box does not appear.

    I am using the 64-bit version of the 4.1.47 release (trial).

    If nothing happens, please go the installation folder and run the CheckForUpdates.exe manually.

    C:\Program Files\SAPIEN Technologies, Inc\PowerShell Studio 2014\


    Then if nothing happens, please check the event logs for any errors.

    I found the problem. Check4Updates.exe did not get installed when I ran the installer to upgrade from 4.1.46. I reran the installer and completed a "Repair". It put the executable back in the folder. The button works now. Weird.

    Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. :)

    I think there is a problem with the 4.1.47 installer. I just did the same upgrade from 4.1.46 on my home PC and I ran in to the same issue. The Check4Updates.exe is missing. As soon as I re-ran the installer and selected "Repair" the executable was put in the application folder.

    Both my home computer and work computer are running Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) and PowerShell Studio 2014 (64-bit) trial.

    UPDATE: The event log is not showing anything out of the ordinary.

    Did you replace the previous CheckForUpdates.exe use the version from the other topic? This could have been the reason why the file was missing but still worked on Repair.
