Heat/FIPS error while attempting to build installer (heat.exe : error HEAT0001)

Post by bartonjd »

Product, version and build: Powershell Studio 2021, 5.8.186
Operating system: Windows 10 1909
PowerShell version(s): 5.1.18362.752

When I try to build an installer for my powershell project I get the in the attached image.
Tools Output
Tools Output
snip.png (31.9 KiB) Viewed 3363 times
I also get "Error Loading Template: C:\ProgramData\SAPIEN\PowerShell Studio 2021\Templates\File Templates\PowerShell\PowerShell Class.ps1.pstemplate
Object is currently in use elsewhere." in the output tab

I don't think the company will allow me to disable FIPS so I am not sure what else to try.

I would recommend updating to build 5.8.187 as that should get rid of the second error you received. As for the first error, we will investigate and get back to you.

Can you please navigate to this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\FipsAlgorithmPolicy
and see if "Enabled" is set to 1?
