Selecting Certificate in PS studio,

Post by rstoddart »

Product: PowerShell Studio 2019 (64 Bit)
Build: v5.6.162
OS: Windows 10 Enterprise (64 Bit)
Build: v10.0.16299.0

File -> Options -> PowerShell ->
I have too many certs with the same CN=Email@tailspin.com
I cant select the cert I want from the pulldown, the selection window

How do I specify the Code signing cert over the Email signing cert??

I get the error when I chose the friendly name of the cert.

***** Post mortem variable output *****
>> Error Signing File: C:\Scripts\RMDA\sign\test.ps1
>> Cannot find object or property
>> Successfully Signed File: C:\Scripts\RMDA\sign\test.ps1

>> Error Signing File: C:\Scripts\RMDA\sign\test.ps1

>> Error Signing File: C:\Scripts\RMDA\sign\test.ps1
>> Cannot find object or property

I was able to find how to sign the script with the CLI. I would like to get this working so I can more readily sign scripts in the future.

Thanks!

Are unable to change your certificate for signing at all from your certificate store:

The dialog that appears is your certificate store, a windows dialog.
If you have too many certificates, you can always remove certificates you don't use anymore.
