UI Ghost windows

Post by Gauletga »

Product: PowerShell Studio 2019 (64 Bit)
Build: v5.6.156
OS: Windows 10 Enterprise (64 Bit)
Build: v10.0.16299.0 (1709)

Hello, since 2 or 3 updates of the product i have some GUI issue.
I would say it appears after september (Sorry, i'm not able to be more precise)
when i switch from tab to tab in PSS at a moment i will have a king of ghost windows appearing (see attached files - the second one is with a notepad behind the windows)

The windows stays on screen.
On PSS : this window is like a annoying transparency filter (but i can click on whatever is behind)
On any other app (Office, notepad, web browser) i test, this windows is blocking and whatever in behind cannot be accessed

When i close PSS, the windows disappear

Looks like an issue with the UI library or it could be a bad panel state. Usually a transparent window appears when you drag a document tab.

Next time it appears, try resetting the layout of the panels by going to:

Options->Panels->Panel Layout->Reset to Default state

And let us know if this removes it.

Quick update:
We are still working with the UI vendor on this issue. I believe the issue is related to the fact that you have the panels docked as document tabs. I will let you know if there are any updates.

Hello,

After some test, when i'm using the preset "Editor layout" or "Console layout" i don't have the issue.
Issue is still present when i'm using them as tabs.
