PowerShell Studio fails to activate

Post by franeB »

Product, version and build: PowerShell Studio 2018 Version 5.5.152.0
32 or 64 bit version of product:64
Operating system:Windows 2012 R2 Standard
32 or 64 bit OS:

*** Please add details and screenshots as needed below. ***

After successful installation of PrimalScript 2018 and PowerShell Studio 2018, PowerShell is failing to activate with following error:
"We are sorry. We could not reach our activation server. Please verify your internet connection. Press Retry to attempt connecting again or press Cancel to exit"
PrimalScript 2018 activation was OK, as well as Internet connection is OK. I tried re-install it a few times without success.

Hello,

I would like you to try an older build of PowerShell Studio to see if you can activate the software the older build.

Please go to your Registered Products Page:

https://www.sapien.com/account/products

Next to PowerShell Studio 2018 download link, click the Archives link and download the 150 build.
You will need to uninstall the 152 build before installing the 150 build. Then see if you can activate the software using the older build.

Hi DavidC and thx for you help.
Build 150 started to work immediately without asking for its registration probably because I installed on the same device with already installed and registered PrimalScript 2018.
Should I just continue using this Build? and how will I know that the next build after 152 would work OK?

Try deactivating the software and reactivating using the 150 build of PowerShell Studio. That will tell us if the security protocol changes we made are affecting the activation on your Windows Server 2012 R2 machine.

Please try the latest build (v5.5.153) and see if it is able to activate.
