Activation issues

To help you better we need some information from you.

*** Please fill in the fields below. If you leave fields empty or specify 'latest' rather than the actual version your answer will be delayed as we will be forced to ask you for this information. ***

Product, version and build: Powershell Studio 2017 5.4.142
32 or 64 bit version of product: 32bit
Operating system:
32 or 64 bit OS: 64bit

I have rebuilt my desktop without deactivating the software. I also have it installed on my laptop for when i'm out and about. I have just renewed my subscription hoping this would allow me to activate it on my desktop again but it won't. When I check the portal it says I have to wait 6 months? :(

Here's some information about resetting your current activations on your own https://www.sapien.com/blog/2018/03/19/ ... et-policy/ or if you let me know which computer you'd like me to deactivate the software on I can do that for you.

For clarification, the deactivation changes mentioned in the article only apply to the 2018 versions of our products.

Thanks Cody, sorry I have only just got back to you. the machine is lrq00103757. I see from the blog post that I should be able to reset it myself from now on. It doesn't give me the option and says I have to wait until Feb 2019, could this be because I am still activated on an older version and when I download and update to the latest version and reactivate this will be resolved?

Thanks

I reset the activation on the your machine. As for not being able to reset your activations on your own this could be because your subscription was activated with an older version of our software before we gave users the ability to reset their own activations. When you reactivate with the the 2018 version of PowerShell Studio you should then be able to reset your own activations.
