Right clicking a ps1 files when using "Edit" default context menu causes a stub installer to be invoked for PSS. Clicking "Edit with PSS..." doesn't do this. See attached images. I am unclear if previous version(s) did this or not.

In order to help resolve your issue, please try the following steps:

1. Re-download the latest installer for PowerShell Studio. The original installer had a bug involving updates.
2. Uninstall PowerShell Studio in Control Panel->Programs and Features.
3. Verify that the PowerShell Studio application folder is no longer there:
C:\Program Files\SAPIEN Technologies, Inc\PowerShell Studio 2017
4. Install PowerShell Studio.

Please let us know if this resolves your issue.

Thank you,

Do I need to deactivate before uninstall?

Deactivating is not necessary.
