ScriptMerge recent entries

Post by cking2 »

I usually compare two folders. (dev/prod)

Once I have done this, it shows up in recent places fine and I can pin it.

But clicking on that brings up a 'Select Files to Compare' and the OK is greyed out. I have tried adding a * but no results.

I just want to say 'yes, compare these folders'...is this by design and I am just missing the point? If so, is there a way to say the two folders I want to compare.

Windows 10/PS 7.1.68/ScriptMerge 1.3.62

ScriptMerge recent entries

Post by SAPIEN Support Forums »

This is an automated post. A real person will respond soon.

Thank you for posting, cking2.

Did you remember to include the following?
  • 1. Product, version and build (e.g. Product: PrimalScript 2014, Version & Build: 7.0.46. Version and build information can be found in the product's About box accessed by clicking the blue icon with the 'i' in the upper right hand corner of the ribbon.)
    2. Specify if you are running a 32 or 64 bit version
    3. Specify your operating system and if it is 32 or 64 bit.
    4. Attach a screenshot if your issue can be seen on the screen
    5. Attach a zip file if you have multiple files (crash reports, log entries, etc.) related to your issue.
If not, please take a moment to edit your original post or reply to this one.

That sounds like a bug. We will investigate...

I'm trying to recreate this and haven't been able to in 64 or 32 bit environments. I did the following steps:

- Mapped a shared drive to Z: with 2 different folders
- Compared the two folders in ScriptMerge
- Pinned them to recent files
- Clicked the pinned location and it opened fine

Is there any other information you can give me to help reproduce your issue? Did you perform any other steps that I may have skipped?

I log onto my workstation using my 'normal' account. I then run PS and ScriptMerge using my 'a' account. Thus, ckinga is an admin account. To be clear, I always do a 'run as admin' and use ckinga for PS and SM.

This has access to the share/etc.

If I pin local drive\folders (c:\ for example) it works fine.

If try to use UNC (not z: mapped drive) it behaves the same.

-update------------------

If I log into the PC as ckinga it works perfectly (as expected).
