I got your e-mail about the new "SAPIEN Updates" tool. I was wondering why I hadn't seen an update for my existing software in several months.
I manually downloaded the installers for PrimalScript, PrimalXML, PrimalSQL, PowerShell Studio. While running the install for the first one (PrimalScript), I noticed that the "SAPIEN Updates" utility appeared.
I gave it a shot, but no matter what set of products I select, or whether I choose to "Download and Install" or "Download Only", I immediately get an error message "Download failed. Error = 0x800C0008".
I manually installed the remaining products I'd downloaded, tried again. The products I'd manually installed were no longer in the list, but I still get the same error.
I don't believe it means anything, since the tool failed with the other products still listed, but the remaining products are WMI Explorer 2015, PowerRegEx 2015, PowerShell Profile Editor 2015

Re: SAPIEN Updates "Download failed. Error = 0x800C0008"
You do not mention what OS you are running.
The error code is indicating a certificate error.
Basically your computer is not trusting the host certificate for the amazon S3 server where the files are stored.

Re: SAPIEN Updates "Download failed. Error = 0x800C0008"
My computer is running Windows 7 Enterprise, 64-bit, with Service Pack 1 (and all Windows Updates applied).
I haven't done anything to fiddle with the certificates installed as part of Windows 7. Do I need to manually install the "certificate for the Amazon S3 server where the files are stored"? If so, where can I get it?
