PrimalScript 2017 to 2021 Release/Change Notes

Post by PNCCorpUseSoftware »

Hello, part of our new application review requires that we review all the changes in an application since the last approved version. We currently have PrimalScript 2017 version 7.3.108.0 and are looking to move to PrimalScript 2021. Can we please receive ALL 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 changes/version release notes? The link provided by Sales only provides 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Also, our internal security review also asks us to verify these pieces of information, can this also be answered:

1. There are no cloud services that are enabled with PrimalScript 2021
2. There are no non-encrypted file transfer abilities within PrimalScript 2021. We require SFTP and FTPS only for example.

Thank you!

Please state the purpose of having access to outdated change logs. I could probably find them, but I am curious as to what you hope to find there.
They have been available for many years even though we regularly discard old entries. Why the interest now?

PrimalScript 2021 allows to open/edit/transfer files via FTP just like PrimalScript 2017. The double negation here makes it a little confusing as to what you are concerned about.
If you do not allow access via unencrypted protocols you should configure your servers accordingly. The client software should not really matter.

Please define what you mean by 'cloud services'.
Can you open files on a cloud drive? Yes.
Does PrimalScript install or require a cloud drive? No.
The question is a little to unspecific to answer.

Thank you, the reason our architecture and engineering review committee wants these is that we haven't updated this application since that time/date. By reviewing the release notes of all versions since the one last reviewed and approved, we are able to allow them to just review the changes vs. full review of the application itself which makes the process faster.
