Large .exe using script packager

Post by clarkml »

I am packaging a antivirus product along with custom scripts to deploy it. The end result .exe is around 80MB is size. Everything works fine except that the unpacking of the .exe takes a minute or so before the user sees anything happening. Because of this delay in unpacking the user will sometimes double-click the .exe file twice thinking nothing is happening. Would it be possible to make the packaged .exe show a unpacking dialog so the user at least knows the .exe is doing something??ThanksMIke

I have scheduled for this to be added as an option as soon as someone works on scripting hosts and the packager.
Since it involves a number of separate hosts that all need to support this it's not quite the quick shot one would hope for.

Right now we are running a bit in circles to address Windows 7 and PowerShell V2 items. We'll let you know as soon as we can get to this.
