just as an aside, I have PrimalScript 2009 - version 5.0.639 installed on the same workstation as my PrimalScript 2011 - the 2009 version works fine ...

hmm ...Not sure what you were expecting, but I renamed the original DLL then copied your new DLL to the folder. I opened PrimalScript and attempted that "add object" again. I get the same "the parameter is incorrect" dialog as before, and the output window shows:Entering InitDial...
