I think you need to provide a little more information.
Packaging a data file with the script is pretty trivial,
but it seems you expect the file at a fixed location.
Can you maybe break it down to a small sample script?

It is basically a performance issue. Mapping case insensitive is much slower than case sensitive.
I am not quite sure what could be done about this.
